How Licensing Works
NixPanel uses a central licensing server at license.nixpanel.io. Your license is tied to your server's public IP address.
When you install NixPanel:
- You enter your license key during setup
- The installer activates the key against
license.nixpanel.io - The panel periodically validates the license (every 24 hours)
- If validation fails (e.g. network issue), a 7-day grace period applies before the panel restricts features
Changing Your Server IP
If you move NixPanel to a new server:
- Log in to nixpanel.io/dashboard
- Go to License → Change Server IP
- Enter the new server's public IP address
- The change takes effect within a few minutes
IP changes are limited to prevent abuse. Contact [email protected] if you need assistance.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Your panel will continue to work until the end of the current billing period.
Upgrading or Downgrading
Log in to nixpanel.io/dashboard and use the Billing section to switch plans. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated.
Getting a License Key
- Create an account at nixpanel.io/register
- Choose a plan on the pricing page
- Complete checkout via Stripe
- Your license key appears in the dashboard
